Better Korean Dict · Last updated: May 20, 2026
Better Korean Dict ("the app") is operated by Matthew Bae. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the app, who it is shared with, and what choices you have.
We collect nothing ourselves.
The app is a fully offline dictionary. It has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics, and no telemetry. All dictionary content ships inside the app; your searches stay on your device.
The free version shows a single banner ad at the bottom of the search screen, powered by Google AdMob. Google may collect:
This data is used by Google to serve relevant ads and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's ads data usage policy.
If you purchase "Remove ads", no ad SDK code runs and no data is collected by Google AdMob.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We never see your payment details or billing information. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies govern those transactions.
| Platform | How to limit ad tracking |
|---|---|
| iOS | Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for Better Korean Dict |
| Android | Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID |
You can also permanently remove all advertising by purchasing Remove ads ($4.99, one-time, no subscription) inside the app.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Because the app is offline-first, there is no mechanism to push a notification; check this page when you update the app.
